In industrial and mining terms, processing refers to the treatment of raw materials to extract or transform them into one or more products with higher added value. Emidco, aiming to advance mineral processing, has launched a graded iron ore production line. Located adjacent to the mine at a minimal distance, this line is dedicated to grading the mineral material. This processing site uses physical separation methods, primarily magnetic separators, to isolate high-grade iron ore from low-grade waste. The processed products include fine iron ore (Fines), with particles sized between 0 and 10 millimeters, and coarse iron ore (Lumps), with particles ranging from 10 to 25 millimeters. Currently, in addition to its primary function, this processing unit has initiated a research and development project focused on processing iron, copper, and other extracted minerals.
